Last night in the storm my clinic lost power for the first time in 5 years. This is always a concern for clinics that hold cold chain medication that must always be stored at the right temperature.

Fortunately some time ago I purchased an external battery which automatically kicks in, to power the fridge if there is a power failure.

This is a big investment for a clinic but not as much as losing tens of thousands of dollars worth of stock.

I'm pleased to say it worked perfectly and my temperature log showed the fridge maintained the ideal temperature for the duration of the power failure which was more than 10hrs.

Did the clinic you go to lose power?
Did they have a battery backup for their fridge?
How do they guarantee their medications are still effective?

Earlier this month I took time out of my busy clinics to further my education and attend AMWC in Dubai (Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Medical World Congress).

This is a 3 day conference bringing together the latest information, education and science all focussed on aesthetics.

The speakers were brilliant, the learnings were invaluable and the location was unique.

I travelled there with my industry bestie Su-en @aestheticsonpointbrisbane and we were fortunate to also enjoy a couple of highlights Dubai has to offer, either side of the conference.

This is the first international conference I have been to since before covid and hopefully I will find another exciting opportunity in 2026.
